i cant decide between the headless horseman or the scallywag?!?!
ive heard great reviews on both, but the chillydog rocker on the scallywag is swaying it a little, does anyone know if the HH has rocker from edge to edge as well?
also bindings wise am i just looking at the shaka’s or are there any other rocker specific bindings, or will any binding do, cause i fancy some step in’s!
cheers

Hey Kieran,
Yeah the Headless horseman has a tip to tail rocker but it’s fairly mellow. Nevertheless the Scallywag and Headless Horseman are aimed at different styles of riding…....what is your focus? Park, Pipe, jibbing, all-mountain, cruising, freeriding, powder?

never rode a stepchild before, are they relatively new on the scene?

cheers tom
well when i’m at home im down castleford hitting the park and jibbing, when i get away though i like nothing better than making some fresh tracks and rooster tails but conditions dont always allow that! obviously i’ll hit the groomers quite a bit but like having fun on the way down (cant pass up natural features!!). if theres a snow park and/or boarder cross there will definately be hitting them as well!
i was looking at the latchkey and salary man but i dont want a noodle!! i want something that will hold out if i decide to do a cliff drop or a big kicker or just fancy straight line-ing it one in a while!

>>>darkstar- no theyve been making boards since 2001

Sounds as though the Scallywag is gonna be a little soft for your needs…...sure it’ll be nice and playful for your indoor sessions but you might want something with more guts for when you go on holiday.
I ride a headless horseman and I have to say it’s a great all-mountain freestyle focused twin. It’s poppy, fairly easy to press but is also strong on landings and even performs in the pipe and in the backcountry. Nevertheless If you want a compromise between the two then have a look at the Jibstick. But the HH definitely looks like more of an appropriate board than the Scallywag and it was my favourite board of 2011…...hence I bought one.

cheers again tom,
i know you rated the HH at around 7 flex, i’m currently riding a 09/10 stairmaster so would you say its more or less flexible than that? i was also looking at the chi-borg, the review of the 10/11 model is really good and sounds perfect for me, how does the HH compare to the chi-borg?
cheers
