Going to be riding the mountain for most of the time
i am..
5’11 (basically 6’)
184 lb
Shoe size: 11/11.5 US
What is the right size for me?
would a 158 wide be good? or should i go non wide?

HI Ash,
You will definitely need a wide board, particularly with the Custom which is renowned for having a narrow waist. To be honest the 158W is only 25.8cm wide most brands wouldn’t ene label that wide, maybe mid wide. Looking at the size chart for the Custom, at 184lbs you exceed the weight recommendation for the 158W so you would be looking at the 162W in the Custom Flying V… for all mountain that’s a good size. If you’re worried that it’s took long, the Rome Agent Rocker uses a similar profile and is slightly more freestyle bias, but you would fit onto the 158W.

Hey Rich, i just checked out the Rome Agent Rocker and it looks sick, I am going to go to the shop today and see if the 162W Custom is to big for me or not. Just one last question do you think the burton joystick 159W would be a better fit? i know its more of the park board but would i really notice the difference? Want to have fun on the board.
cheers

Yeah I think you would notice the difference. Until you decide you want to go down the freestyle route I would probably stick with all-mountain boards… they’ll give you more enjoment from just laying down carves and darting into powder.
