Hey guys Im an intermediate rider and im looking to buy my first board. I will be riding the mountain for the most part and maybe the occasional jump/rail/box..etc. Basically i want the board to be able to handle mostly anything. The two boards that im debating between is the Burton Custom flying V and the Burton Joystick.  Any recommendations? I have read a lot about both boards.. but still undecided.

Also what I am not sure now is the sizing. What size board i can get away with.

Looking for bindings and boots as well.

5’11 (basically 6’)
184 lb
Shoe size: 11/11.5 US

Thanks before hand!

Hi Ash, as you are mostly riding piste and the Joystick is more like a park board, the Custom will be the better choice.
Sizing-wise you should look for something around 160 wide.
For boots and bindings check our main page for buying-advice articles on both of the equip-parts.

Hope this helped, cheers Tobi

Hey Tobi, would i get away with a 158 on the flying V or does it have to be a wide? cause i dont think the flying v has a 160 wide, it has a 160 tho. And i was gonna go to a store and purchase it, but in case they dont have it in stock would you reckon that the joystick would also be a decent board for me? or maybe another suggestion that i can read about?
