I just got a Lib Tech Dark Series, and was looking at 3 Union binders, 1st Force, 2nd Asasdachi III, and 3rd the Force SL. They all seem similar, but the last two say freeriding in the description, the Force is labled as med stiffness, Asadachi med/stiff, and the SL as Soft. I asked around and the Asadachi has a carbon infused base that’s stiffer than the force, but has the SL high back which is softer than the standard Force. The SL has the same base as the Asadachi, but is milled out, which makes me think it’s not as stiff, and again this has a softer highback than the standard force. Then the Force has the softer base with a stiffer highback. I really don’t know what to do now,LOL
I ride everything but rails and boxes, usually if there’s pow I’m in the trees or hitting natural features, if it’s hard back I’m on the groomers and jumps, and ocasionally the pipe. What do you think is best. I also heard the Cartel Reflex from Burton would be a good choice, never been a fan of Burton though. Thanks!

Nah the milled out parts are the most accurate way to remove material which isn’t being used by the binding to deal with loads applied to it through use. It wouuld be much cheaper to create the mold through the injection molding process but milling them probably provides superior performance. Notice all of milles spaces have rounded corners to reduce stress concentrations. As far as I can see the milled parts are the only difference between the bindings, which one is cheaper?
