Hi Kiirpi.

Just a couple of questions for you so I can help you a little better. Firstly, what is your weight, height and shoe size? Secondly, you’re a park rider, what level are you at? Are you hitting the medium line and dialing your spins, or are you just getting to grips with the park? If you get back to me then I’ll be able to point you in the direction of some boards.

A quick heads up on the Bataleon Rocker. It’s actually the uS limited edition of the Fun Kink. THere is no rocker in the profile what so ever. If Triple Base Technology had rocker too it would be imposible to get any edge grip. The guys at Bataleon just wanted to make a joke of rocker as they reckon TBT is superior.

Hi Rich
I’ 160 lbs 5.7 and my shoe size is 10. I’m hitting boxes and pressind nose etc the basics.
So i need to progress. Also powder performance is important then park cause i spend more time in there. But don’t get wrong i want to improve my skills at park also.
Hope its not complicated.

I think a reverse camber board is a good idea, this will help the board deal with powder even though you can keep the deck short for park.

Here’s some boards to look at:

Stepchild Headless Horseman - Mid flexing do everything freestyle board. A nice helping of bamboo in the core for a lively feel. My brother Tom who works on the site from time to time loves this board, he’s been riding it all season in Sierra Tahoe.

YES TYPO - The softer of the YES boards with Camrock, rockered tips and cambered between the feet. It one our king of jib a couple of years ago and is equally at home in the pow.

Signal Omni - A bit like the YES just a touch softer. The ultimate freestyle board for intermediate progression.

Arbor Westmark - Soft/medium flex, so easy to ride and jib and floaty in the pow. Looks good, rides good. Sometimes a little squirly on super firm hardpack and ice.

K2 Fastplant, Parkstar or the Turbo Dream - Which one to choose? The parkstar is the park board that will work in powder. The Fastplant is a similar shape to the Parkstar but has a smoother more natural bamboo pop and a nice damper feel. And the Turbo Dream is the all mountain board happy in the park and in the pow. In my home resort I ride with a K2 Pro who has a Gyrator for pow days, a Parkstar for park and a Turbo Dream for general cruising. I’ve seen hime ride the Parkstar in thigh deep powder days and the Turbo Dream on slush park and rail days. they are both very versatile boards.

Lib Tech McKink - A bit like the Skate Banana but there is a little jiggery pokery with the kicks at the nose and tail so thath the boards can be ridden much shorter than your normal powder board but will still work in the deeps stuff.

Never Summer Evo/Revolver - If you havent’t heard allready these boards work in most conditions, should be called the NS Versatile.

Check these boards out and let me know if I am on the right track or if they are a bit too expensive.
