Hey guys,

I was looking at buying my first board. I am an intermediate rider and I’ve been looking at the Burton and K2 brand for a while as they seem to be very good. Boards that caught my attention where the burton blunt, custom, customx, flying v, k2 fastplant, k2turbo dream. But i dont really know and any help would be much appreciated. Would it be better to buy a really good board for the first one? Also im stuck on sizes as i dont know what i can get away with. I think and all mountain board would be best for me as I will mostly just ride the mountains… but i do want to go to the park for some jumps/rails/boxes..etc

Im 5’11.. basically 6’
and i weigh around 184 lbs

Thanks before hand

We have video reviews on the Custom X, Custom Flying-V and Fastplant so check those out.

In my “mini review” thread I have some quick thoughts on the Custom Flying-V and Turbo Dream.

Only missing one is the Blunt but again some people have shared their thoughts on this years model.

Check those out and let us know what you think.

Hey steve I checked out all the reviews and videos and im pretty sure i have narrowed it down to two boards. The Burton Custom flying V and the Burton Joystick. I’m kinda leaning towards the flying V, but im not 100%. Any suggestions? Also what I am not sure now is the sizing. Any recommendations? Also which bindings and boots would fit well with this board?
