Hey Rich, by the way awesome reviews just sat hear and watch the lot…I am looking at upgrading my board i am riding a Endeavour 162 at present but it feels like a truck to ride and had it for a few years now..I have spoken to a few people and they have recomended a 158 but in the roma agent rocker or the Burton flying custom flying-v..I had some lesson last year for a week and the instructor thought that I am a confident intermediate and I can comfortably hit jumps, the only other thing to consider is that I am 185cm (6ft) and 94kgs (200lbs)....what are your thoughts

I am sure you will get a better reply from Rich - but just to put my two-cents out there:

I would go with the rome agent. I love the older regular camber models of the custom, but personally I don’t like the new flying V profile… I am not a big fan of reverse camber between the bindings in general, but i have heard good things about the feel of the new agent.

I rode the cambered agent up until this season and I found it a great board that took my riding to a whole new level - a real do everything board. Although it did get a bit squirrely at really high speeds, which may be even more pronounced with the rocker profile.

More advice the merry…greatly appreciated. As I am newer to the sport the more advice from people like yourself who have ridden a variety of boards the better. I am swaying towards the Rome boards, which seems to be what alot people are thinking….Cheers again

Hi Cal,

Sorry about the late reply. Just so I can help a little better, what size boot do you have?

I think your saying towards the Rome Agent Rocker is probably right, Rome tend to make make their shorter boards more suitable for heavier riders. With your weight and height you’d be looking at around 162 on the Custom, but i think the 158 Agent Rocker will probably be enough.

Hey Rich,

Thanks heaps for the reply, no probs with the delay time not the best when I am in Australia…Mate my current boots are a pair of DC Scouts and are size 11 US or 44.5 EUR….

Big things was to get a neutral opinion from someone like yourself who has tried and tested the boards, and after watching your reviews, the Burton idea came from myself. The local guy recommened the Rome as well did a good mate of mine who spent the last 12 months boarding between NZ and Canada, he was the initial one behind the Rome boards…

Cheers again for all your help….also your site is a ripper…

No worries, glad you find the site useful.

Yeah the Agent Rocker 158W is the board for you without a doubt. You’re on on the money for your height weight and shoe size.

Rich,

Thanks again for the help. As I live in Australia is there somewhere you would recommend, I have been dealing with the team at switchboard store and they have been brilliant, but I wasn’t sure if you had a specific store to buy from…

Cheers again for your help….

Afraid not. Oz stores are completely out of my field of knowledge.

You shouldn’t have too much problem finding the board though especially as you are well ahead of the Southern Hemisphere season.
