I live in Ohio and the weather is always super unpredictable. That means were going from a pow day or a nice packed snow to extremely icey and slushy conditions. Would the skate banana be the right choice for me if I hit rails boxes some jumps but than I also like to find pow and just free ride. I am about 5’8 140 and the only skate banana left In town is a 152. Would that be too small for me because as of now I ride a 153 forum recon but I’m not sure if the downgrading of the board size would have an impact on my riding. Thanks

You will not feel a 1cm difference. At 140 you could be on the 152 and be fine but if you mostly ride pow and freeride maybe bump it up to a 156. Maybe change your choice of board if mainly freeride.

Tom our head of testing (I hate calling him that, he never tests anything!) rode the 152 at our jib test, he’s about your weight and height. He enjoyed it, nice soft-ish flex buttery reverse camber… you know the deal. I’d say if it’s mostly park you want to ride then the 152 will be fine. In powder you will find the 152 Skate Banana will flar a lot better than your 153 Recon (Forum Recon.. cambered, I’m guessing).
