Hi. ok i’ve major questions here. I am an intermediate and i do not go to the park when im on the slopes… but might in the future. Im currently looking at a few boards from bataleon.
Fun Kink
Goliath
Omni
Twin evil
im 6ft, about 176pounds and boot size 11 US.
been trying to search for review on these boards but i barely find anything out there on the net. so i would love to hear all your reviews.
I’m looking for a board with a pretty good flex for ollies and nollies and holds well when carving, oh and stable at fast speeds. I’m a noob when it comes to boards so yea :) a friend of mine said the fun kink isnt as good as it seems but it would be nice to see what everyone else says.
anyway preferably an all mountain board would be nice, and it would be a plus if it is able to perform decently in the park. Would be planning to use it for a long long time :)
so let me know about your experiences with any of the boards i’ve posted. :) thanks!
my mistake if i’ve used any snowboarding terms wrong :P

Well you have all four categories of board listed there:
Fun Kink - Jib and park
Evil Twin - Park
Goliath - All mountain
Omni - more freeride
So my initial suggestion would be either the Evil Twin or the Goliath. Your boot size means that you are likely to have too much overhang on the Evil Twin as they don’t make it in a wide… and 25.2 cm is perfect for a US9 boot. So it’s really down to the Goliath, now the problem is the size. The 157W might be a little bit small for riding powder, but the 161W might be a bit big for park riding. I guess it’s down to you which one you don’t mind sacrificing… I’d probably go for the 157W, as you mentioned you want to progress in the park. We did a video review on this year’s Goliath so be sure to check it out.
I hope that’s helpful.

Oh thanks. A few questions though. What’s the difference between free-ride and free-style. I was checking out the bataleon website n it showed that their TBT is different. But would the specs have a huge difference betwwen them?
I forgot to add I’m usually going down groomed mountains. As all the mountains in my area are groomed.

The tripple base tech looks a bit like this at the tips \_/ with a flat section in the middle that the sides oft off from. On the Freeride TBT boards this flat section narrower which makes rolling between edges less work and the board ultimately more responsive. On the Freestyle TBT and ultimately the Twin TBT boards the flat section is wider meaning that initiation into turns is a bit slower but the board feels a little less catchy initiating spins on jumps and a bit more stable on icy run-ins… there’s also a bit more board in contact for rails, making slides a touch easier. I much prefered Freeride TBT for generally blasting around the mountain, but predictably for jumps and freestyle the Twin and Freestyle TBT were more forgiving.
