I have spent that last two weekends going to my local shops and trying on some boots for my size 13 feet but so far the boots are either too small or they are a bottom of the barrel boot with little to no comfort or stability. I’ve been looking at the Burton and Lashed boots but can’t seem to find them in a 13.5, so the question is should I buy a 13 and hope that they give enough, or do I buy a 14. Otherwise where can I find these boot sizes online? I have lots of shops in town but none with my boot size.

Will the lashed or Burtons give a little?

Honestly it is hard to tell if they will give a bit or not.  32’s tend to size short and wide, a strange fit with those guys.

I just bought a pair of Nike Zoom Force 1s in size 9.  They felt awesome in the 15 minutes I had them on in the shop but tonight when I wore them for 2 hours around my place to break them in my feet went numb.  Needless to say I need a 9.5 but a quick tour in the store didn’t give me that information.

Best thing I can say is buy them at a local shop (even if they need to order your size which most shops can do) and make sure they have a decent return policy.  Wear them around your place for a bit and see what happens.  Ask them to heat mold them as well in the shop, something that I will do tomorrow but was in a rush to do today.

Trying to find the right size is tough and I’m finding that companies like 32 don’t even make ½ sizes above size 11. Most of the shops in Calgary are reluctant to order me anything since they are considering this ¾ of the way through their sales season already. I’ll keep trying on some boots and see if I can get close enough to know what I need by ordering online. Looks like I need a 13.5 but can only get a 13 or 14, If had to choose between a too big and to small which way should a lean?
