Opinion on weather Freestyle can still carve well or not!

deciding weather to buy a freestyle board or not, but i dont want to sacrifice my carving and speed. opinions on whether it makes a huge difference or not?!

It’s completely dependent on what freestyle board you are interested in. If you are interested in a completely reverse camber board then you’ll find they carve differently and nowhere near as aggressively as freeride boards but on the whole carving on freestyle boards isn’t a problem. It’s just that carving on stiff, damp and directional freeride boards is much easier at break neck speeds on snow that’s choppy bumpy and icy.

I think you can carve a freestyle board. I take my 155 K2 DarkStar and carv from time to time. When I am in the park and want some speed it works. However: the carv of a true freeride board is a lot better.
