hey guys, ive been riding casually for about two years now, so i always rented boards. However im ready to make that awesome leap and buy a board. im not an expert by any means, but i want a good quality board with some freestyle aspects. also i have had a hard time determining quality bindings. so if you could help out and give some examples of some binding and board combos for around $450 that would be sweet. or even just the best companies for around that price range! i know that its not alot of money to work with, but im still growing so i dont want to go all out. thanks!

Hi Shockness,
Check out our Board Selecta! and put in the following instructions:
Park and Freeride terrain types
Directional Twin shape
Medium Cost
You’ll get a lot of options here that will fit the bill. If any catch your eye and you want some help determining what would be a good fit, just post the boards you like on this thread and I’ll get back to you.

ok well i found two boards that i liked.

and

the other problem i seem to be having is deciding on a good size. im about 5’7 - 5’8, 150 lbs. in previous years ive used 147 cm, but ive grown maybe an inch since then. what size would you suggest to be the best?

Ok, I’d say you’ve been riding a board at least 7cm too short for you. With your weight and height for all mountain riding I’d say you should be looking at something in the region of a 155cm deck.
You picked out the Deuce… do you have big feet?
Also, you mentioned that you’re looking to progress your freestyle, have you thought about trying something with a bit of rocker?
