Im thinking about getting a Rossignol Decoy this year and was wondering how the hybrid camber/rocker rides. Its a bit different than other hybrid designs in that it still has camber between the feet but the rocker starts a bit earlier in the board by the tip and tail.

Its a relatively stiff board but according to the site it is easier to press due to the rocker design. Anybody know if this is truely the case?

Tom tested the Decoy this year and was raving about it. I tested the Decoy a couple of years ago and at the time I was amazed by how stiff and difficult it was to ride. THis year tom said it wasn’t so much stiff as lively, a slightly firmer flex than most freestyle boards but the Decoy if for big jumps and pipe primerily.

Freestyle Amptek is a little different to the standard All Mountain Amptek as it is much closer to convetional camber ( a bit like Salomon Wingtips) they have moved the change from camber to rocker so it is mid-way between the bindings and tips. You get the pop of camber with a slightly less catchy feel and slightly more forgiving landings. I guess it’s for those camber fans who don’t want to go too far away from cambered boards.

If you want an all mountain twin that presses easily… it’s got to be the Angus… a very easy board to ride.
