Hey, Im currently looking at getting a new board. I love the pow but i also love to hit the park. Im torn between a Burton Hero, K2 Parkstar or Slayblade (might be too stiff for my liking). Any advice? Not sure whether the Burton est is the way to go.
Cheers, jamie

Those are all solid boards. Between the Slayblade and the Parkstar the main diff is the profile… slay is flatline and park is jib rocker. The Parkstar will probably be easier to press / butter because of the profile and it’s stance is centred however the Slayblade will have a lot more pop due to the extra carbon and a faster base plus harshmellow dampening in the inserts.
The Burton Hero is a pimp board as well. The V-Rocker is a continuous profile out from the middle of the board… they compensate by added carbon rods out from the bindings for more pop (Jumper Cable Hi-Voltage). The Channel is pretty awesome, unlimited stance options… no more 3cm degree increments. EST is also looks pretty fly having no binding material under your foot.
I have the Parkstar and it’s awesome, however the Slayblade brings a lot to the table. Burton Hero with some EST bindings would be dope as well. Honestly between all 3 I would really look to the Slayblade for a wicked all-mountain freestyle stick.

Just as Steve already said, the Parkstar and the Slayblade are both great boards and I’d recommend them both but for completely different riding styles.
Go with the Slayblade in case you are riding piste/pow and bigger jumps most of the time and pick the Parkstar in case you are addicted to the park and rails and visit the pow from time to time. (not implying the parkstar sucks at riding piste, though- it just won’t be as good as the slayblade!)
