2011 Burton Malavita ESt & 2011 Burton Cartel EST

Hi,
I was wondering if there is any difference between the 2011 Malavita & Cartel (both EST) besides the design (and the asym strap that I’m not sure what difference it makes.)  Both have 7 flex rating, have same features and use the same technology.  Can’t seem to find any info on the Burton site. 

I just bought a 2010 custom ICS board and 2011 Malavita bindings. (Can still exchange the bindings as I haven’t ride on it yet) After reading the reviews on the net, it seems most people are using the Cartel with this board.  I’m a beginner/intermediate rider.  Ride on mostly groomed trails.  I’ve had a real beginner board (OPTION GT & OPTION Carlito bindings).  The board was very flexy.  I wanted to be able to progress on this new board as it a bit stiffer and heard many great things about it.  Hope to try the parks in the near future too.  Did I make a wrong choice going with the Malavitas?

Can anyone who has experience with either one give me some suggestions?  Thanks so much.
