Okay, I live on the east coast so Im always dealing with hardpack. I want to be stable at high speeds because I have to keep up with my cousin who is a very confident skier. I want it to be somewhat forgiving off kickers since I don’t do them enough to land them on a less forgiving board, and I’d like some maneuverability for glades.
Summary:
Essentially I want a fast, all around stable board for speed and jumps that I don’t have to wrestle with to last in the glades. Here’s my list, feel free to add.
K2 Slayblade- heard it can do it all, and is very fast and stable.
Ride Machete- it’s got the rocker, but is still stable at higher speeds. Won best of test
Rossignol Angus- got 2nd in best of test. Huge fan of the amptek, and its only 399.
Nitro Blacklight- It’s reaaally fast, but I’m not sure how forgiving it is off jumps.
Nitro Rook- I don’t know a lot about it, but it got a good review.
Atomic Alibi- I’m really curious about this board, I used to have the Hatchet and it’s a very good company. It received very good feedback at this site, except I think it mainly excels in transition.
Ride Concept TMS- Nobody really get’s into the details about this board other than saying it destroys.
*Remember, I never do pow unless its some hidden patch in the glades.
