hello everyone, i’m sure you get this a lot but I’m looking for a board that can do it all. mainly my interests are powder/kickers/speed. i don’t care much about jibbing but should not be impossible on the board :). considering this i’m looking for a bit stiffer board, preferably a hybrid rocker/camber, and preferably directional twin but full directional is fine too.

the last 2 years i have ridden a 2009 k2 podium which i really loved but for my new board i want just a little more flex and a lot less weight, that thing was heavy!

I’m 80 kilo’s (176 lbs) and about 1.80 meters (5,9 feet) and i got a pair of size 11 nitro anthem boots. I’ve been riding for about 8 years and since 2 years I’m spending full seasons in the snow, so i built up quite some experience and consider myself an advanced rider.

i have of course done some research already and 2 boards that really interested me are the Rome headline and the Lib tech TRS. what do you guys think about that? these would be good choices or would you recommend something else?

I wouldn’t recommend the Rome Headline if you are looking for a lighter snowboard… that board is heavy!

If you are looking for a firm-ish flexing snowboard with a hybrid camber and you have size 11 boots.

I reckon the LIb Tech Lando 157W or the Never Summer SL (wide version) would do the job. You should also look at the Rossi One Magtek Mw and which has Mag edges and a rockered tips, these boards grip hard and are great in the carve. Finally, it might be worth looking at a zero camber board like the Salomon Answer or K2 Slayblade, nice and light and super responsive, they’re a little easier going than cambered boards and float a touch better.

thanks for the reply.

is the headline really that heavy? becouse the reviews i read actually told me the opposite and that it’s a pretty light weight board.
