Hello,
I want to buy a new board and I need your help. I’m intermediate rider. I would like to buy allmountain board which will be good for shredding slopes (should be good carving board) and sometimes allow me to ride quite gently in a powder.
I’ m interested in several boards:
- Voelkl Spade 2011
- K2 raygun 2011
- Ride Antic 2010
What do you think which one would be the best (for me).
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Uriah, welcome to the SBR forums.
All of the boards you listed are for the intermediate rider who wants to push himself to the next level.
I don’t think you would go far wrong with any of the boards and so I’m not going to tell you which of those boards you should buy. They are all solid decks from well known manufacturers so just go after your gut feeling or chose which design you like best or go for the brand you like most.
Not much more to say about it..
Cheers, Tobi

Thanks,
I posted a question because I’ m a bit afraid of a rocker. I had salomon ace board which was a cambered board. In my opinion this board had a very good edge hold, was good for carving. What I really would like to know whether this rocker boards (voelkl and k2) allow me to improve me carving, allow me to have fun riding on slopes (riding in park don’t interest me)?

The rocker boards will still carve pretty well generally but it will not have that spring to “pop” you out of the turn. I think if you like carving get a cambered board or a hybrid camber board like Never Summer or Lib tech with C2.

One more question. I found contract code snowboard. Is it a board for raiders with wide foot or this board has simply different construction that’s way is wider in a waist? I have 26 cm (41 eu, 7,5 uk, 8 us) snowboard boots. Would it be a problem for me to ride such a board?

Endeavor guerilla 2010 - biaxial glass
voelkl spade 2011 - triaxial glass
Do you think that this difference is important?

It does make a difference whether the board is built with triax oder biax glass because triax makes the ride, as presumable by the name, stiffer. Can’t tell how much stiffer exactly, though.

I decided to buy endeavor guerrilla 2010.
Thank you all very much for your help.
