Hello people of this super informative site…

I just bought a Salomon Sick Stick from last year’s season (2009/2010).
I am a women but till now I only bought men’s snowboard gear.

Most of my snowboard vacations are in Austria - Europe. I have an intermediate level and like to ‘learn’ snowboarding off-piste. So I bought a Salomon Sick Stick.

My question is , what are good bindings to fit on the Sick Stick?

I was looking at the Union Force SL or the Union Trilogy Bamboo?
Reason: light weight and direct board control.

I am used to riding flow bindings (Pro S FR/NXT AT) and last year I bought K2 cinch CTX bindings in Austria . Both I like very much but I want to try some different binding setup on my Sick Stick.

Sorry for my English , hope you people understand my question anyway…

Hey IkBenLief,

As you bought the Sick Stick and your focus is freeriding I’d look at a slightly stiffer binding. Also, as you’re a woman it’s important that you stick to riding a female-specific binding; this is because as a woman your calf muscle is lower down your leg than a man’s so to prevent unnecessary discomfort the highback is shorter. Have a look at the following bindings:

Union Trilogy
Drake Jade
Burton Lexa
Salomon Absolute Premium

Hope this helps,

Tom
