Anyone ridden an Allian “Knock Out”

Hey,

First off, love the site - it’s been a huge help with my research.

I’m currently in small town Japan and am going to treat myself to a holiday up in Hokkaido.

I’m looking to buy my first snowboard - I’ve been snowboarding a few times before but am definitely more on the casual/beginner side of things.

A local shop has a used but excellent condition 07/08 Allian knockout and I was wondering if anyone has experience on one?  My basic question is is this a strictly freestyle board or would it be ok for freeriding/all mountain?

From what I gather people have good things to say about the brand but I haven’t found any reviews for the knockout.

The board itself is 148 and I’m a dude, 163cm (5’3 feet) been awhile since I weighed myself but I’d say between 58-64 kgs (128-142 lbs).  I haven’t really done much park in the past so I’d say I’m more a freeride/all mountain rider.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey there D-Hova,
unfortunately I can’t tell you anything about the knockout, as I do not know what tech and materials they used back in ‘07.
Did you look into any other board, yet? Maybe it’s just me but I personally wouldn’t buy a 3 year old used deck- there are some really great offers going around the internet (and also local shops of course) for even 09/10 models!
Maybe you want to check if you can find any other deck of interest, we’ll be glad to help you out with that, then.
