I’ve been snowboarding since 1994 and have owned several All Mountain Boards over the past 17 years. Snowbird/Alta is my backyard and I have turned into a “powder snob” and only go out when it dumps and there is great powder. I would say I fall into the intermediate to expert range when it comes to riding and now 1/2 pipes or parks for me. I love long runs and to carve. I bought a pair of ski’s last year (Salomon Scrambles) and I have to say after not being on planks for 17 years, it was quite the experience. The long of the short, Im selling the ski’s!
Its been about 4 years since I have purchased a board and looking into a good Freeride powder board. The Salomon Burner is one that has my attention and so has the Sick Stick. Im 6’, 210, 10.5 on the boot—I have always prefered shorter boards and about 160 seems to be my sweet spot. Im due for a regiment of losing 10-15lbs so that will play into factor keeping me at a shorter board.
I’ve been using clickers for quite a few years and going back to strap this year because its time.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
