Ok i am a decent boarder just getting back into it hard last season and plan on continuing this year. I need a board that can handle the whole mountain including jibbs. right now my list is:
Ride Crush, Machete the K2 Parkstar and the LibTech Skate banana.
The Machete sounded good until i heard that it was a bit stiff for easy pressing and jibbing, heard similar things about the Fastplant.
Where does the Scallywag fit in?
Im thinking about getting a board in the 152 area. im 5’6’’ 155 lbs.

Howdy pal,
how do you plan on spending your time on the mountain? Going after the boards you suggested I guess mostly park?
What’s your boot size?
Rich, our Site editor, loves the Scallywag for its graphics and behaviour in the park so if it’s that what you are looking for, you are right on track!
The Machete, Parkstar/Fastplant and SkateBanana are a bit more allmountain focused so let us know what you are looking for and we will be glad to help you with your further decision!
Cheers, Tobi

I definitely wouldn’t say the Fastplant is too stiff for presses unless you are superlight, it’s probably one of the best kicker and rail boards out there. If you are looking for a softer board you could try a 100% radial rocker, a board like the Scallywag, Arbor Westmark (with grip tech edges for improved edge hold on ice), Lib Skate Banana, Academy Probaganda rocker or Stepchild Chi Borg might be more up your street. Check out the jib test we ran a couple of months ago - link here .

I just read your review on the Stepchild Chi Borg and it sounds like just what i need, gunna keep the research up but thanks alot for the suggestion.

Hey man one more question about the 2011 Omatic Celebrity and how that might fit my situation. Heard its pretty awsome all around was just curious about its jib performance, granted thats not really the forte of this board but just curious
