how do you8 get the right pop on a snowboard?? im kind of new and im wondering if its like an ollie on a skateboard?

Yeah Pop is pretty similar to skateboards. When you pop an ollie on a snowboard, you use the recoil from flexing the tail to ‘Pop’ you into the air. The stiffer the tail (within reason) the more recoil you get from flexing it and the more pop you get, but the more effort you have to put into flexing it. Pop from a snowboard isn’t quite the same as 7 plys of maple but you get the idea.

You pop a skateboard more by slamming the tail down and using the fast recoil (combined with dragging your lead foot on the griptape) to propel the board up. On a snowboard you load the tail by tipping you balance towards your back leg and once you feel it’s ready (before you fall over your tail) you spring up and suck up your legs to propel the board up.
Honestly it’s easier in my opinion to ollie on a snowboard then a skateboard… having your feet attached means you’ll always be able to jump and raise your snowboard but it gets waaaay easier when you load the tail (or nose for nollie) first before you jump.
