i’m looking for a park board nothing else..
i’m new to park and want to focus mainly on boxes/rails and small kickers.. more into jibbing at this point
basically looking for a beginner to intermediate board to thrash and learn most out of it
at the moment i’m looking at
2011 forum scallywag 155
2011 k2 www rocker 152
i’m 5’10, 180~185 pounds and wear US10 boots by the way
which one should i go for?? i’m more inclined to get scallywag but quite a hard decision for me…
i’m open to other board suggestion as well. i will be using it for 1 year minimum (considering that i will be also using it indoor) so want to get a right one and not spend twice on thrash board

No comparrison.
Buy the Scallywag, it’s a great park snowboard that’s ridiculously easy to ride and extremely progressive. It’s better than the K2 WWW in my opinion and it’s the right size for you. Oh and it also has a pirate on the topsheet. No competition.

sweet!! how flexy is the board? is it the noodle class??
and what’s good bindings for the scallywag?? you reckon 390 boss will suffice?

No it’s no way a noodle, if the www is a 2/10, the Scallywag is maybe a 3.5/10.
Rome bindings are getting a lot of positive reviews on this site. The bosses look very nice indeed… solid.

one more question,
how does scallywag compare to rome artifact rocker 2011??
if i was to get artifact rocker for jibbing and small jumps… should i go 153 or 156? wish they came in 155…
i ride 159 all mountain

don’t get the artifact if your new at park, that thing is a pure street jib machine and if you find yourself progressing on jumps or really anything else other than rails that thing will let you down. Like Rich said get the Scallywag it’s a perfect park board for a beginner and it’ll probably take you pretty far. It’s also a lot snappier than the artifact from what I hear. Get a 155 Scallywag and you’ll be set for the season

yup, i already bought scallywag :) just trying to decide on bindings… what do you think of union contact 2010 on scallywag?? should i go more mid flex??

If you think a hinged disc (supposedly bends with ur board) is a cool idea then you could keep it all Forum and get the Republic or Shaka bindings. But the Contacts won’t let you down at all either, really good park binding from what I hear
