Hi!
First, just want to say I’m really pleased to have found this site, loads of great info!
I’m thinking about buying my second board and quite interested in the Never Summer Infinity-R. I’m 5’2” and 126lbs (& female)... and was thinking of going for the 147. My current board is a burton twin 147 (from 1995 i think, so I’m definately due a new board!).
I was thinking this size would be great for me but then I came across a size chart online which said this size of this board was for riders weighing 90-120lbs and for my weight I’d need to go for a 151… though my initial thought was that this seems a bit long.
Any advice about board size for the NS infinity would be really welcome.
Thanks in advance

Wow 16 years of service from your Burton Twin! They don’t make them like they used to!
What kind of terrain are you riding? Is it for groomers, park and powder? Do you have an aggressive riding style or is it laid-back cruising? Finally, what size feet have you got?

Yeah its done me good, though I’ve only had it half that time as I got it second hand.
I’ll always be more freeride than park oriented, both on and off groomers - looking for a board that can go all over the mountain, including powder and steeps. I’ve not done much freestyle but I’d like to try it out a bit more and have a board that works for that too and is good for switch… even if freestyle isn’t my main focus. I’d be more into jumps than pipe or rails. I’m boot size 7.5 (UK 5).
I’d say I’m not super aggressive but aggressive at times… sometimes laid back but not that laid back. I guess somewhere in the middle. I think the more I progress the more aggressive I’m getting.

I think this coming season it’s available in a 149, to be honest that’s going to be the best size for you.
If you can’t get hold of the 149, then I reckon a 147 is going to be fine. The 151 might be a little more stable when you’re charging. If you hold up your 147 Burton Twin, does it reach between your nose and your mouth?
