Hi All,

after a bit of advice here, I am getting a lot of heel lift from my current boots (Burton Driver) I am not too keen on doing them up to tight as I get cramp etc.

Is it time for new boots or is there something esle I can do?

The boots have only doen about 8 weeks of riding

Unfortunately, there’s hardly anything you can do to prevent distinct heel lift.

There are some things I would try before buying new boots, though:
- try wearing thicker socks or maybe 2 pairs of them
- ask your local shop about arch supports; they can help but mostly have to be adapted to your boots/feet which is not always the cheapest thing in the world

If, in the end, you decide to buy new boots, make sure you do not get that heel-lift again and try on as many boots as possible for as long as possible to get a feeling for the different fits!

Wow, this is like my situation.  I have size 10 Burton Drivers and experienced a lot of heel-lift.  It’s still annoying but to avoid buying boots in season I added a heel gel pads and wear wool socks over a regular pair.

On a side note I might be interested in buying your boots if they are a size 9, PM me if you want to work out a deal.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to hang onto the boots for another couple of trips and try out some of the suggestions you both give!

It would be a shame to replace them as they are still in good condition and I have just had them re-laced!
