Hi!

I’ve been snowboarding for +- 7 years (intermediate/advanced level). I used to ride Hammer Hyeline. It’s a camber and very stiff. I like to go fast and I feel comfortable when I feel a lot of control when I’m going fast. I want to change, because I want to learn some tricks and that’s very difficult with a board with very less flex.
Now, the board that I am looking for is still one with enough control when going fast. But I want to try to make jumps and do some stuff other than just going fast. So: my main goal is still going fast, but with the option of also doing some tricks.

When I go ask some advice then they say that a mix of Camber and Rocker will be good for me. I’ve been testing a Rocker and I don’t like the feeling. It feels very soft and like I don’t have a lot of control because of the light weight. So I don’t know that the combination of Camber and Rocker will be good for me. I saw the Flying-V Feel Good of Burton: Rocker between the feet and camber under the feet. There is also theTwin Sister of Jones: Camber between the feet and rocker under the feet. So both hybrid boards.. But then I ask myself: what’s the difference between those 2 boards? It must give another feeling when you’ve got camber between your feet or under your feet. Does someone know an answer on this question?

There is also antother board that catched my attention, but it’s a board for men: Process Flying V restricted from Burton. Can I handle this board and does it have the characteristics I search for?

Does one of these 3 boards match my wishes?

Additional info: Weight: 60 kg, height: 172, boot size: 41 (eu).

Thanks!

hi,

I’ve been riding a rocker board for the last 3 years and I get your point…I was missing a bit of stability and response when carving around or going at high speeds - but I love the playfulness and the float in pow. A hybrid board gives you both, the stability and pop of a camber board and the playfulness and float of a rocker board. I really can’t tell you what’s the best type of hybrid…I think that’s up to your personal preference.

You can’t go wrong with the Feel Good or the Deja Vu. You get both as Flying V or classic Camber and they both should fit better than the Process. There must be reasons for building women specific boards :-)

Keep in mind that Burton got the EST!
