I’m looking at actually buying a new board this year. In years past I’ve always just rode what I could get my hands on. I’ve done some research and decided on buying a 2012-2013 Ride Berzerker. Here’s my info…..

6’ft tall
240lbs
29.3cm foot or a 11-11.5 boot
Intermediate-Advanced with 5 years under the belt
I do all freeriding and I’m never in the park or jibbing. I like to carve and go straight off of jumps (no spins or tricks).
My local hill is typically packed down and can get pretty icy at times.

I am looking at these 3 different sizes…..

167 with a 25.6 waist
165w with a 26.3 waist
168w with a 26.5 waist

The boot size calculator on this site says that I need one of the wide boards, but I’m not sure how accurate that is. If I do go wide then I have to decide on length. What do all you guys think as far as the size goes?

The width on either would be good for your boot size and it looks like the weight range for the 165 & 168 are the same so it’s really personal preference.

I agree with Pete, those wide widths make the most sense and to be honest they’re not really that wide. You could ride either length… there’s only 3cm in it.

I have considerable experience with wides. I pack my size fourteens into a 12.5 Salomon Malamute and ride about 45 days a year. Do consider the tip and tail width as well. I had a Rossi Levitation 170 wide with a 27 width and an 11 sidecut. The tip and tail were not that much wider than the waist, and I loved that board. I have a Unity Dominion, same 27 waist, deep sidecut, very wide tip and tail, very exhausting on hardpack days!
Last year I saw a friend go from a Rossi Experience 26.2 waist to the “regular” waist (25.6?) and his riding improved instantly, by a lot, like crazy.
So careful not to go too wide.
I get away with a 26.2
