I am looking to replace my old burton dragon board this season. Due to age and healing slower, my riding style has changes since I pick this board up almost a decade ago. These days I’m mostly an all mountain rider, looking for a natural terrian, mix of groomed and powder.
Web surfing and buyer guides have me considering the Rossignol Angus and Ride Machete and I’m looking for opinions on these boards and any sugestions from other riders.
Thanks!!

Hi,
am I right guessing you already found the Angus and the Machete at the “snowboardermag best of test 2010”?
As they are ranked #1 and #2 there they should be really fine rides. Though reading your post and keeping in mind you mostly ride piste and powder nowadays I might come to think of these two boards being rather designed as jibster and freestyle boards.
Maybe I am wrong, I did not test any of these boards, but that’s what I picked up from my research.
Maybe you want to have a look at the decks I posted in my “allmountain board” thread here in this board.
Good luck

The Machete is a jib board but the Rossignol Angus is all mountain freestyle. I’ve not ridden the Angus but I’ve ridden the new Yes boards with the same kind of camber rocker hybrid as the Rossignol Amptek camber. The boards have tons of pop and can hold an edge really well although for highspeed groomer you can’t beat traditional camber. The other thing about the Angus which I saw in Feb this year at a trade show, is that the graphics are rad, plus I’ve had two Rossi’s over the last couple of years and they’re absolutly bomb proof.

Snowboard-Review recently tested the Rossignol Angus in Verbier Switzerland. You can find out about the angus using the following review link:
