Hi guys
Boots are now sorted (2012 Burton Hails) and I have located a board (GNU Carbon High Beam 153) which looks adequate.
Just need to sort bindings now…...
Is there really any difference for a beginner? (will probably be using groomed pistes 90% of the time and only the odd bit of freestyle to start with)
Are there any absolute rules/preferences regarding purchasing bindings? (such as Plastic vs metal buckles? or certain bindings going better with certain boots/boards?)
Any advice would be appreciated!
Regards

I’d stick with Burton bindings if you’ve got Burton boots, it means you’ll have no suprises with compatibility. A pair of Burton Custom or Mission bindings with either the traditional disc or reflex system will do the trick. Make sure you don’t buy the EST bindings, these are only compatible with Burton’s Channel mounting system. Both these bindings are super safe buys and the waranty should you need to replace straps is always easy and excellent.
