hi
i’m looking for an all mountain board and think i’ve narrowed it down to these 2.
i would say i’m an intermediate on the slopes and beginner in the park. i’m 5’9” and weigh 75kg (165lbs) with size 10uk feet.
i learnt on a really crappy ex rental then moved on to a couple of boards that were given to me. both old ‘rad air’ boards. one was 159 and fairly stiff/heavy. its ok at speed but i want something smaller, lighter and more manoeuvrable, the other was a 149 which is too small for me so i didn’t ride it much. i’ve never ridden anything other than standard camber, would like to try a hyrbrid/flat camber.
looking for something versitile, light, stable at speed but fun and playful.
i want a board with fairly easy turn initiation - last time i went i was getting really sore feet in the morning when the snow was firmer/icy and i had to work harder for turns. it could be down to technique but thats another thread.
piste 60%
off piste 30%
park 10%
i was also looking at the rossi one magtek but can only find it in 153 or 157 wide.
so, the k2 turbo dream or the rossignol angus? and which size would fit me best, i’m thinking 155/156
cheers :)

Haven’t ridden the Turbo Dream… heard nothing but good things about that board, though. In a nutshell you’ll probably be really happy with either board. Here’s my take on the Angus.
I own a Rossi Angus and have ridden it about 15 days now, in all kinds of snow. The only time I was sketched out was on hard/refrozen ice early in the day. Other than that the board will handle consistently and predictably in all kinds of situations and snow conditions. It doesn’t stand out in any one category, but is quite good at everything… a great all mountain board. It is flexible and easy to turn at slow speeds, holds a carve really well at higher speeds and has great float in powder. It handles mashed up, tracked out, mounds of chop and slush with ease. Rides switch almost like a true twin, which is quite important to me since I ride equally well both ways.
Cheers!

thanks for that magnum.
i’ve just ordered a 156 turbo dream for £210 - seems like a good deal.
i could only find the angus in 159, which i’m sure would have been fine but i’d rather have something slightly smaller and i had to make a decision somehow!!! also like the idea of the harshmallow.
however, i’m slightly concerned about the width with my size 10uk feet. from what i’ve read, size 10 is right on the cusp of needing a mid wide board and the turbo dreams waist width is only 247mm, slightly narrower than most boards. has anyone else used the turbo dream with size 10 feet or above?
