Hey Guys,

a friend convinced me to try snowboarding this winter and I have to say: I love it!

Although I only spent some days on the board, I felt comfortable, even when riding down slopes that were a little bit more advanced.
Generally, I think I will mostly be riding on groomed surfaces, but I also liked riding on powder.

As we are already planning the next trip for fall 2012 and the prices of one of my favorite sports shop are quite low due to the end of the season, I want to buy my first board now.

I am 5 ft 12 in tall and my weight is around 176 lbs.
My shoe size is 44 (EU)

I got great offers for:

Nitro Team Gullwing 159
Burton Monkeywrench 159
Burton Custom 158 / 160
Ride DH 159
Ride DH2.6 Limited 158
Ride Antic 160

Which one would you recommend for me?

Thank you very much!

Regards from Germany

You can’t go wrong with the Ride Antic.
Good all around direction Twin, Medium flex. it will serve you well.

Thx!

Do you think the non-wide version with a waist width of 251mm will be OK for my foot size?

I really am not a 100%
If your buying from your local shop (which i would recommend)
then when you get to your shop, you might wanna size up your boots (Bring them with you) with the board.
I wear a size 10 with a 151cm board and have no troubles, but any bigger and I would need a wide probably.
You wanna make sure that not too much of your boot will be hanging over your board.
You may need a wide. Most is just opinion.
A big reason im recommending the Ride Antic is because I almost got it as my first board, and sorta regret I didn’t. hah

Unfortunately, all local shops are completely sold out and offer hiking shoes :-)

I ordered the Antic, I’ll try it out with the boots and the bindings as soon as it has arrived.
If it doesn’t fit, I’ll have to send it back…
