What’s the difference between a board for beginners and a board for advanced riders?
Why can’t a beginner ride on an advanced board and vice versa?

Really there are alot of differences on Beginner and Advanced boards.
Cambers, Between Hybrid CRC, or RCR, or Plain Camber, Or TBT or Rocker.
Alot of the advances boards will have a Hybrid Camber that suits the riders needs. For a beginner i would reccomend a medium stiffness Cambered board. This way it will hold an edge in snow and suit the riders all around needs.
Rockers will also be a good camber option because of its forgiveness and looseness in snow.
Along that note, Boards with advances technologys will have inside the board things such as Ollie bars, Poplar cores, and reenforced Basalts for pop. Each of these techs suit the riders needs. Someone who may ride park for rails will want a board with a soft wood core for presses/butter/ect.
Every rider is different, and until someone knows what kinda of riding they will be doing, a nice simple around around mtn board will be good for them.
Ride Agenda is one of my favorite boards for beginners because its really cheap and an amazing board.
Hope this Helped

Expensive boards for advanced riders are wasted money. By the time you get good enough to appreciate the benefits of your expensive board, the board will be knackered or old news. Also advanced boards usually have firmer flexes, deeper cambers, more aggresive sidecuts and high grade sintered bases… the first three will make learning more tricky… the expensive base will be a pain in the butt to repair until you get the hang of it.
