I am 14 and I’ve gone snowboarding a couple of times with friends last season and this past week I’ve been in Breckenridge snowboarding. I’ve basically fallen in love with the sport. I would say that I am doing pretty well for only snowboarding about 5 times. I want to get a snowboard by October-ish, and I thought I would turn to those who know their stuff much more than I do.
What I want:
A snowboard that I can learn on…that is, a snowboard that won’t have to be replaced as soon as I improve.
Cost isn’t too much of an issue, but I would say a board in the 300-500 dollar range (USD)
I am 5’9” with a size 10 foot. And I’m done all my major growth spurts so I’m not worrying about growing out of the board within the next year or two.
I am pretty sure I want to stick with an all-mountain board - that way if I ever feel comfortable I can try park.
If I’ve left anything out, just ask. And thanks.
