Has anyone else recently purchased a K2 board with the 100% flat line and zero camber? How are you finding it?
Is it possible to butter and freestyle on a lifelike or is it just me who cold get very little play out of it?
I went for a 155 lifelike and although it is very light it seems to be a bit unpredictable and needs to be ridden aggressively all the time.
I am only an intermediate and still riding 0/15 rather than duck but have felt more comfortable on cambered boards. there are a few used lifelike and slayblades on eBay and it looks like people may be looking to ditch the flatline.
I also have new Burton Cartels which don’t seem to go too well with then board or my boots and I will be getting rid of the, despite how highly rated they are.
thanks!

I’ve been riding a zero camber all-mountain board all season and I love it (not K2 though). Peronally I like the balance between the performance of camber on an edge, the fact it’s more forgiving and the way it floats in powder is unreal.
The lifelike is a freestyle board for people who like to ride pipe and kickers foremost it’s not a soft jib board, I’d say it’s flex is around 6/10 so if that’s what you were expecting or hoping for then it’s not suprising that you’re finding firmer than you thought.
As far as people abandoning zero camber… I don’t reckin so. K2 sell a huge number of snowboards so it makes sense that there’s a fair few of them on ebay. I can understand why the Slayblade might find itself up for sale more than a lot of boards. People really don’t get how firm it is… then an intermediate buys it has to battle with it constantly. The Slayblade is like the Lifelike on steroids. So peeps are trying to selll them off before they’re last year’s board.
