Hello I am an intermediate rider looking to upgrade from my current board, which is honestly really awful. I have it narrowed down to two boards but I can’t choose. It’s either going to be the Rome Headline or the Ride Machete. Any advice?

what are you wanting from the board, bombing, park, pow?
have you looked at ‘Nitro team gullwing’ check the review on this site.

I am looking for smooth, catch-free, and quick edge to edge transitions. I picked these two specifically because of their camber/rocker. I have not looked at that but I pretty much have it narrowed down to these two, and am just curious which people think would be a better choice and is a better board.

Yeah… not sure about the Headline, I rode that a few seasons ago (granted, it was when it was cambered) but it felt heavy and was very directional.
Are you more interested in freeriding or freestyle, can you greak down your riding style and ability, e.g.
Park 20%
Piste 40%
Pow 40%
Expert freerider, average in the park
Ride aggresively really working the boards flex
Looking to progress my freestyle ability
etc etc
