Hey Seb,

The Barracuda and Solitude are very different. Here’s my thoughts:

Burton Barracuda - THis board has a tapered shape, a very early rise nose and a medium flex. It’s designed to be surfy in deep snow, agile edge to edge and is designed to be ridden at around your normal all-mountain snowboard’s length to keep it fun.

Flow Solitude - THis is a big mountain gun designed to be ridden longer than an all-mountain board length. It’s stiff along the length and torsionally and relys on surface area rather than shape to give it float. It’s designed to have good edge hold on sketchy snow and offer stability at high speed.

Go with the Burton if you’re riding near the tree line and your style is hitting fun pillow lines, slashing lips and turning the backcountry into a playground. If you’re ridding big open bowls at full throttle, dropping big cliffs and riding the backcountry even when the snow isn’t good powder then the Flow is a better choice.

Hope that helps,

Rich
