Hi Guys,

I would appreciate your help. I have borrowed Salomon Definition 165 from my friend (I guess it is 06/07 model) and really liked the board and am now looking for this board or an alternative.

Here’s an image of the board I managed to find in the internet but the design is just a little bit different:

?193?9650104

My friend’s one has also got Oxygenated Water label on it.

1. Can anyone please advice exactly which year model it is?
2. Does anybody know this boards technical specification or where I can find them?
3. Does anybody know a good alternative to this board from a salomon or any other company boards’ range?

As far as I understand Salomon have discontinued this model. It has been designed for intermediate/advanced riders, free riding style and all terrain - it really well behaves on both ice and powder. Also, I noticed it’s quite heavy compared to other models and seems to be of a medium flex if I am not mistaken. The bindings are just fantastic as well.

My height is 191 cm (6 feet 3 inches), and weight is 95 kg (210 pounds). I am at the intermediate level but would like the board which would help me to improve my skills. Definition was really behaving well for me allowing easy control, excellent flex level, being hevy enough and forgiving some of the mistakes - so I am looking for something similar.

The models I am currently considering are:
- Salomon Answer 163 cm
- Salomon Man’s board 11/12
- Ride Antic 163W
- Burton Barracuda 165
- Burton Custom 169
- Burton Custom X
- Skate Banana

Anything else you know which would be very close or exacly similar to Salomon Definition 165?

Many thanks in advance
