Hi guys,
I am an intermediate rider who enjoys piste and off-piste riding (I’m based in Europe) carving down groomers and pow. I don’t ride park at all but I want to start hitting jumps off natural terrain and park-like features on and off-piste and I’ve been looking for a new board that will suit this style of riding.
I’ve now been given, as a gift, the Attack Banana for my birthday but also have the chance to return the Attack Banana for a fully-wrapped (more durable?) directional twin board (Never Summer SL).
I’m wondering if, given the type of riding I want to do, I would be much better-off with the SL or am I just splitting hairs over two boards that will get the job done equally just as well in which case I should save myself the effort and stick with the Attack Banana?
Thanks!

Yeah the SL would probably make a bit more sense. The full wrap edges are a definite advantage and the directional twin shape will give you a touch more float in powder. It also has a firmer flex which might be better for sticking big drops and railing carves on hardpack. I still think the Attack Banana is going to be a fun board to freeride on, but if you’re asking which is better then my answer is the SL.

Thanks Rich that is really helpful!
Sorry to bother you again on this; I’ve now found out that since I have to return the board to a non-authorised LIb Tech dealer(have no choice) I effectively have to trade the board in for the SL which will cost me about $70…given this do you still think the SL is going to make such a marked difference that it’s worth the cost? Ultimately if the Lib Tech is still going to really shred freeriding i’d only want to spend the $70 for an “upgrade” that’s worth it.
Thanks again!
