Hello fellow riders,

I need some advice on buying a new board this year as my Ride Dh 159 from 2 years ago just fell off my car and I lost it! (Go search between Nice and Moutiers for a nice board!:) )

Anyways, I liked the ride DH very much as I was just transitioning a little bit between freeride to freestyle.
However : I always felt that my Ride “Bites” into the snow when carving a little harder and also I had to work really hard to keep it balanced in the powder.

Im the type of boarder who wants to jib alot on slopes, go alternative routes trough powder, take a (big)air or slide occasionally but also love the speed on the slopes sometimes (My ride DH was also great for higher speeds)

When I bought my ride, I looked at price/quality, right now, I’ve got more money to spend so price is not an issue for me. I.m about 1.85m tall and my weight is between 80 and 90 KG’s

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Seasons Greetings!
Jon

Hey Jonnie,

check out the K2 Turbodream for a great powder-weapon! The great thing about the Turbodream is that, although it’s fully rockered and floats like a dream, it’s not too soft for going fast and hit some jumps while yet being flexible enough to be jibbed around.

In case you like riding pow but don’t get too much of it, check out the K2 Slayblade/Amplid Paradigma.
Both are really great Zerocamber/Flatline decks which will offer you more stability when going fast while not losing too much of their playfulness.

You might also want to check out the Rossi Angus, the Nitro Team Gullwing and the NeverSummer Evo(more park)/Proto CT(more piste).

Just have a look at the boards I’ve mentioned and come back if you got any more questions, we’ll be happy to answer!
Merry x-mas, cheers
Tobi

Hi Tobi,

Thanks for the suggestions! I had to buy it really fast as I am going on holiday tomorrow already :)
I went for the Ride Machete Wide with burton cartel’s , supposed to be a great board for my needs.

Thanks again for the response, let me know what you think about my new setup :)
