So,

I live in Budapest and I’m moving to Norway, my old deck is finished, I beat the hell out of it last year during late season low tide in France but I got more than one season from it, so no complaints, it was a 152 True Twin brand not worth mentioning.

I’m upper intermediate and hope to get enough backcountry days in Norway this year to justify a solid deck.  I’d love to get 2, but lets not get carried away.  I want something that can do everything.  I like free riding in fresh powder even just a few inches deep more than rails and boxes, but I worked a Season at Big Bear and there just isn’t enough to do unless you get in the park, so I did and I liked it and still do…. but I like being on the mountain more…..

So here are the boards up for consideration:

APO Family 56 2009/10
I like this boards feel, but on the snow could be a whole other story.  I know dick about the brand so any help there is good too.  The guy in the shop really likes em, but hey, he sposda like anything they sell, but he seems genuine and pushed this one.

Salomon
Titan
Acid
Drift

Any more you want to add?  I’m planning a trip to the outlet in Austria on Thursday, so yeah, any advice and also, what should I expect to pay..

Burton
Theres a Burton shop at the outlet too, but my inclination is that the B is too big a price tag for my wallet, also I have disc bindings and I’m not in the market for new ones yet…..so yeah

Give me some direction!
APO Good/bad?  What are they worth?
Salomon Same issues
Burton, do i have a chance at getting something reasonable for what I’m after?

Cheers
Jed

Of the companies you listed I’m really only familiar with the Burton lineup. I would check out the Process, the Easy Livin, and the Custom. I’ve always been a fan of good ole’ traditional camber, still can’t figure out all the hype about reverse. And as far as the disc bindings go, you can call up Burton Rider Services and they will send you out an M6 transition kit FOR FREE for your disc bindings so you don’t have to buy new ones just for the est system. The phone number is on their website. I actually did that to get a pair of 2003 missions onto a 2012 Custom Restricted. I wish the site would do a review on the new camber humps from burton cause its actually my favorite camber/reverse combo profile for an all mountain board.
