Is the 2011 One MagTek identical to the 2012 One MagTek except for the graphic?

The flex pattern shows 2012 is 6/8/10 nose waist tail and the 2011 is 7/8/7.  Basically, the 2011 is about $90 cheaper so I want to be sure it is the same board.

Thanks to anyone who knows!

I don´t think it has been changed. At least thats whats been said from R´s IPSO report.

The test above also indicates that the flex is more like 7/8/7.

I think that 6/8/10 was the flex pattern of last seasons Experience. Seems to be some mix up at Rossis homepage.

Thanks man for helping me out!

I sent an e-mail to Rossi straight up asking them, but I got no response.

I got the 2011 One Magtek, and I agree, based on my reading it seems the same. I threw the Cobra bindings on it as well since the 2011 ones were 50% off online.

This is an excellent site by the way.

Just wondering, I always thought the Rossi staff was super helpful.. maybe they are really busy around christmas or whatever.

Thanks for the props on the site, much appreciated!

I’ll try this once more - the Rossi staff got back to me and said 2012 and 2011 are identical. They were helpful. 2013 may have some new tech though.

I’m debating 156 or 159 Rossi One Magtek.

I’m 5’11” 175 lbs and ride east coast mostly. I want a fun board I can anywhere and enjoy. I enjoy carving, glades, jumps, speed, powder (when it comes) etc

Unsure if 156 or 159 will have much of a difference, curious for any feedback.

Thanks again, this site is legit.

I am a fan of longer boards. Sure it´s fun to spin on the jumps. But I don´t plan to ride any freestyle comp´s so to speak so the lost of some spinweight for me (as a bigger board compared to a smaller one) is not of any issue. A bigger board gives more flow and stability in generall.

When it comes to the One magtek I would say that it handles so well that I dont feel much diffrence between that board (163)  and my K2 darkside 155 that was the last modell with traditional camber.

Thanks MP, good advice.  So you ride a 163 Magtek?

I’m sure you’ve said this in other posts,  but what’s your height and weight and what type of riding do you typically do? Lots of back country and powder?

Thanks again!

I am just under 180 cm and is my weight is just about 80 kg.

My plan was to use the 163 for boarder-X comp and some big mountain comp (lokal level). So that´s why I choose the longer board. I also hike a lot and then there are some extra weight burden from ABS, snowshoes and stuff so 163 is perfekt for me.

My riding is more and more going towards allmountain. That is: more and more park /jump and riding on natural features. Less “true” backcountry riding on firm snow and so on.

However I haven´t feelt that the 163 is to long for the all mountain style. And it flows great in pow.

Now you might wounder why I didn´t bought the Experience instead. Most of the times I don´t feel like going down the mountain to switch to the 155 darkside.  I am a sissy jumper compared to other riding skills so I wanted something less “all in” to progress upon during a days riding. And so I have whit the ROMT.

ROMT 163 just does it al in one day: pow, trees, cliffs and then in to the jumping zone and play around when the pow is gone. Or just hard fast carving on an icy day.
