Hi! I’ve just ordered a rossignol angus 2012 158cm wide model, and having irritating thoughts of wether I should have ordered the longer one, 161w :-S… my stats are: Length: 190cm, weight:ca 83kg, boot size:46 or 12 in us..
I want to have a stable and medium stiff yet playful board for high speed carving, some pow off piste, hitting small to medium sizes jumps and doing some beginner rails and boxes sort of. I have ridden a Burton supermodel, freerider board from 98, and I think it is seriously time to take a step into a more fun and versatile board, and of course, a never one! I am 25 years old, from Sweden.. Ridden since I was like 12 but never had the guts to really jib.. And I want to learn some of it, without having a totally different riding experience from my old trusty steed ;-)
Have I made a good choice of board? Will the Length be okay for me? I am very thankful for some advice! Cheers fellow boarders!

Hey taxner,
for going at high-speed and carving you could have gone with the 161 but as you are also trying to get a little comfy with jibbing around and such, I think the 158 will do.
The Angus is a great all-around board so you won’t be dissappointed!
Cheers Tobi

Thanks very much! I really hope so too :)
Iv’e also looking to upgrade my old-ass flow bindings from 2001. I think the RIDE Capo binding seems like a fitting binding at an affordable price… I’ve read that stiffness is good for a little heavier rider like me… What do you think about the Ride Capo? Iv’e also considered Burton Cartel, Union Atlas or Union Force.. For that allround feeling.. Theese bindings look pretty similar though, does it matter wich I choose? Do you think I will miss my old-ass flow when putting one of theese on my new Angus? hehe…
I really want a stable binding that doesn’t give any pain in my foots… and adequate cushoning for landing some jumps ( to spare my knees)
Cheers!
