Hello everybody,

I’ve decided to buy my first snowboard after renting shitty boards for way too long. I’m looking for an all terrain board that is a bit more freestyle oriented, spins easily and preferably light. I haven’t really got a clue about the latests technologies but from my research a Hybrid Rocker board seems to be ok for my style.

I was thinking about the Burton Process Flying V or maybe the Custom Flying V which seems a bit better and lighter but unfortunately more expensive. The Nitro Team Gullwing series also seem interesting (and light).

Deciding the optimal size is also complicated. I’m a fairly experienced rider with a skateboarding background, pretty tall (194 cm), heavy build (98 kg) and 10.5 US feet. The 162 cm Burton Process V 162 cm that I’m interested in, is actually listed as a 61-91 kg board so maybe this board would be too small for me. I’ve used much smaller boards in the past though and I actually kinda like that because they’re a bit lighter and easier to handle.

Any recommendations are welcome of course.

Thx in advance.

You seem to have made up your mind pretty much already, but that’s a good thing.
The Custom Flying V will be the bomb this season and it’s just the same with the Nitro Gullwing Team.

If you are having trouble going with the Process 162 then check if you can spare the extra cash and go for one of the two I mentioned above. Also, I’d say don’t hesitate to size up a few cm (at least don’t go below 161/162), you’ve got the muscle to flex that board anyway!

You’ll be happy, I’m sure!

Cheers Tobi
