Hi, I’ve tried yahoo answers and no one seems to really answer my question. *sigh*
I’m an intermediate rider. I can carve comfortably, however I’ve outgrown my super old ride rapture! I’m looking for a board to make me a more aggressive rider (turns etc). I’m not into park but would like to try to catch some air once in awhile.
I’ve been debating between the roxy eminence and the rossignol diva. Now, i’m just a lost soul waiting for someone to give me some suggestions/advice!!
I’m scared the eminence might be too aggressive for me and I wont be able to control it.
Thanks in advance loves!

Only 100% way to know is to demo both of them.
Actually I would think it’s probably opposite way around with the Eminence and Diva. My experience of C2 banana is that it’s easier to work the board into tight aggressive carves.
Both of those boards will deliver you a much more aggresive ride, more stability and better edge hold. Worlds apart from the Rapture though… it’s going to be quite a jump.

Hi - the Roxy Eminence is going to be a big difference, and not just in the flex.
The sidecut of the Rapture is very similar to the Fever (which I own). They’re not particularly great at holding an edge on hardpack snow - if conditions were a bit icy my Fever used to slide out from under me sometimes, don’t know if you’ve experienced the same thing…
Anyway, moving to the Roxy will give you better edgehold - the magentraction will help massively too if edge hold is something you think is holding your confidence back. You’re certainly going to be going faster.
I don’t think the Eminence would run away from you, but I do think that if you took it into the park you would stuggle with butters and basically learning how to jump as it’s a stiff board. my thoughts would be that it would be good to either keep your Rapture for this, or maybe buy a shorter park-specific board that would allow you to play around more easily (if your funds allow).
I don’t have any experience riding the Rossi board, but it includes a version of magnetraction, so it will still give you better edge hold than your Ride.
If it was me I think I would go for the Eminence. This is because the C2 rocker profile will suit more terrain than the flat-to-rocker profile of the Rossi. They should both float well in powder if you happen to get any, but the C2 should mean that you have a bit more board in contact with the snow on your average groomer, therefore a longer effective edge, which is better for the carving you want to do. The nose and tail of the Rossi board have rocker immediatly out from under your feet, meaning it’ll feel like it rides a bit shorter than the equivalent Roxy.
