Hey Fellow Riders! :D

I’m trying to pick the right size between the 159 or 161 of K2 TD. I’m confused that 159 might be more agile on turns and better on the jumps, but 161 could be more stable and may not be any worse than 159.

My weight is 175 lbs (without the gear).
I wear size 10 K2 Raider Boots.
My height is 6’275, not 6’3 though lol.

Yet I ride mainly in the mid-west and feel like 159 would an ideal size for hard packed snow and smaller runs in Wisconsin… However, I was recommended that 161 might still be better for my height. I don’t ride a lot in the park, mainly cruising down with occasional stops or carves here and there, some small jumps, maybe half pipe.

Please confirm or recommend the right size. I’ve been puzzled with this for a week now…

P.S. I own Forum Image 161, a cambered board but it is not stable on high speeds and takes a bit of effort to make those turns sometimes, can’t really go on jumps with it either… TD is a flat rocker, sounds like it should feel much better in these areas!

Thank you all!

Mike

Yeah I’d go with the 161… it’s a better match with your height and weight.

To be honest though, you won’t notice the benefit of going 2cm shorter, it’s only 1cm in the nose and 1cm in the tail. The main difference will be that the TD’s flex pattern will be dialled for slightly bigger riders on the 161.
