I’m a girl looking to buy my first board and I’m getting scared by all the “narrow” and “light” markings on the women’s boards. I’m 5’7’’ with size 9 feet and weigh 160 lbs (of solid muscle!). I’ve been boarding for 2 years now and wonder if a women’s board would even be right for me. Help!

If you been riding 2 years and now your turned off by womens boards because of the specs then that tells me you’ve been riding mens boards. If this is the case and you are comfortable riding mens boards then just go with one.
I’m no board expert but I’ll assume womens boards like most things made for women are probably a little lighter and flexable than mens. But you sound athletic so mens boards shouldn’t be much of an issue. I would recommend making a decision based on comparisons from the boards you have been riding.

Agreed I think a man’s board will have the correct waist width for your feet and the right flex for your weight.
Try Shayboarder.com, she’s quite a bit heavier than you but she can offer recommendations on ridings men’s boards from a woman’s perspective.
