does anyone here have already ridden a Hot Knife board ? when i saw it in Lib-Tech´s web site i thought , this is my board !!!! but after searching i found some reviews where riders said that it´s a freestyle board (park) and it´s not good for powder and even for all mountain . is it true???
I want a playfull board because i ride a lot all montain ( crossing out of the tracks, riding side walls, etc ), parks and a little bit of halfpipes

Lib Tech pro 2017 or Hot knife 2017
what´s size ?
I’m 5’72 and weigh about 175 lbs

How to decide goggles

-first thing first decide your price range. typically “high end” goggles are towards $150 and higher but I’ve seen plenty of goggles go cheaper when on sale or on ebay.
-decide frame size and/or no frame, typically if you pay more the frame will be smaller and you will have better peripherals.
-ask yourself if you want functionality or style. this is super important due to the fact that goggles that don’t fog and keep wind out of your face can cost $20, but goggles with style might have cool features like a frame less design might make you snowboard more passive since your cautious not to slam on your face and wreck your goggles
-lenses choice is important as well, usually darker lenses are for daytime but they are still usable at night. less tinted lenses are more suitable for night since they dont make things much darker but can be annoying in the sun,its really up to you and what you ride i recommend trying both and seeing what you like better
-polarized goggles help reduce glare i think (i don’t own any polarized lenses)
-spherical or cylindrical is a choice you’ll also make since all goggles have either of the two for their lenses, more expensive goggles have spherical lenses most of the time but that doesn’t mean cylindrical lenses are bad, they’re just not as “cool”

i own a pair of smith I/Os and Electric eg2.5s both are great but the lens swap system on the smiths is better

feel free to add anything i missed

Snowboard wax - What should we buy?

Hi,
I want to wax my board for the new season. I’m an occasional rider and most of my snowboarding days are with fresh snow or powder. I have a Burton Custom board from last year.
So the question here is: what wax should I buy?
I’m only checking out 3 brands and I’m not interested in other brands because where I live I can’t buy others.
TOKO
SWISS
Burton
The question is what type of wax should I buy for the conditions I’ve mentioned: fresh snow and powder.
Universal wax
Fluro Wax
Hydro Wax

Burton also has a Fcomp wax that apparently is a rip-off.
If I choose to buy a base wax and an additional wax, what do you recommend?
Please give me your input so that I can buy a stick and wax my board…
Thanks

First time wax

Just bought my first snowboard, always had rentals, and i had some research about waxing it before first use. If i want to hot-wax it for the first time, do i have to scrape of the factory wax? or can i go over it directly with the hot wax?

I’ve been cheated?

Hi everybody!

I have something to ask you…
My girlfriend has learned to snow with an old camber board.
Last year, she changed his old board with a burton Social of 2009 for 250 €.
The social was rocker and that’s why she has not found good, this is why he decided to return yesterday to change it with another table that had camber style.
The dealer changed it at the same price with another table, that after searching online I discovered to be a sterling 2006.

So, at this time i think he cheated my girlfriend. Or not?

He said that sterling had “a few” more years but a much higher value.

Thanks and sorry for my horrible english!

New board help!

Hey guys, I’m currently looking to purchase my third snowboard as I currently dislike my new board. I currently own the 2012 k2 darkstar and despite all the hype and awards its older brothers have received, I don’t really enjoy it, I find it hard to manage at high speeds and unpredictable on certain types of snow (mainly groomed/man made).

Anyways I have narrowed my search down to the burton custom (traditional camber), the Lib Tech T.Rice Pro C2BTX 2013

I’m leaning more towards the custom as it has easier turn in initiation but am worried about the set back stance.

I ride 75 % (groomers and trails)
20 % park
and 5 % pow < (sucks)

and i’m practicing switch

any advice would greatly appreciated!

Flow NX2 SE

last season I bought a rossignol one magtek (159) with flow M11 bindings. The combination is great, only problem is that the binding is slightly to narrow for my shoes (while, according to the table on the box, the bindings should even fit half a size bigger, and the shoes are also Flow).

Right now I am tempted to buy flow NX2 SE bindings, but I’m not completely sure about the cap-strap.

So my questions are: is there anybody out here who has tried the NX2 SE bindings? what is your opinion about them? does the cap-strap work pretty good or is it a pain in the ****?

is the NX2 SE suited for all-mountain riding? or is it more aimed towards park riding?
