When Travis releases his new snowboard movie in September you’ll see exactly what this board is capable of, it’s an all-mountain killer that can literally be taken anywhere. When compared to the 2010 model the 2011 Travis Rice doesn’t appear to have had any changes made to it but must have been refined as it’s now the proud winner of a 2011 TransWorld Good Wood Award, not to mention some sick graphics inspired by the film ‘The Ring’.
Travis’ contest winning, valley leaping, Alaska ripping, Jackson Hole freeride & jib stick.100% shredtassium for sliding in and out of tricky situations with ease in all type of riding conditions: hardpack, park, pipe, pow, rails, and even ice.
For psychoLOGICAL shredding advantages, Travis continues to have two shapes: a pow-specific pointy 161.5 & 164.5 (BTX & MTX) and a park/jib-specific blunt 153 & 157 (BTX & MTX). And of course, factory de-tuned to Travis’ specs!

Hi all i’m unexpectledly in the market for a new board after breaking my nitro shogun 160 while on hol last week i think from landing too hard off a jump, I’m 5’7” 180lbs and been riding for 8 yrs so class myself as decent intermediate, I ride all mountain, I’m looking for a board that will be a bit more fun than the shogun, i love to ride fast and carve well, but I’m trying more on slope jibbing plus the odd jump in the park, powder if i can get it! so need a solid all rounder with the emphysis on fun rather than outride speed machine! i spoke to a few sales staff and managed to test a burton sherlock 157 flying V and they also mentioned a skate banana (none to test) i didnt really take to the flying v as it kept slipping away from me on the hard pan icy patchy snow i was having to put up with, i tried widening my stance to try and flatten the board out but it didnt help, plus i can get a bit lazy in the afternoon!! i rode with a rep who had just got an endeavour and said it was so good for the very little he paid, i’ve also read up about the lib tech set up, I’m thinking 156-158 as want something shorter for ease of tricks but dont want to sink in pow, heading my shopping list are lib tech travis rice, skate banana, never summer SL or evo , GNU carbon credit or Danny Kass, endeavor guerilla or RC, Please help out with any comments as my heads spinning from all this new technology and just dont have test centres for these in the UK. thanks in advance stuart

Hi Stuart - I’m going to copy and paste your comment into a thread on the forum, it makes it a touch easier for people to chip in with their thoughts.

To both Stuart and Ryan,
You guys are about my size, I’m 5’9” 195. I just picked up the 157 this year and have about 6 or 7 days of east coast riding on it. I cannot recommend this board highly enough. It is by far the best board I have ridden. I should make note that it’s the first board that I have had the means to spend a little money on. My last few boards have been bought with a budget as the biggest factor, the last being a burton bullet 159. I did demo the custom a few years back and while I was impressed with it by comparison, I wasn’t as amazed as I am with the T Rice. I went with the 157 after careful consideration for 2 reasons. One was that I read that the banana tech makes it ride like it’s about 3cm bigger in powder and the other is because living on the east coast I rarely ride powder. Since I have yet to ride this board on powder I can’t vouch for the 3cm difference. To be honest I don’t notice a tremendous difference with the reverse camber period. Not good or bad. What I do notice and can vouch for is the magna-traction. I’m an aggrssive intermediate rider and all my days this year have been on hard pack and/or icy conditions. The “turns ice into powder” slogan might be an exaggeration, but it’s not much of one. I have yet to loose an edge on hard packed, and only once or twice on ice. I have found that you can carve straight across ice with little adjustment. I am a believer in the technology and don’t think I will ever buy a board without it.

Hi Guys. This board looks sick. My board teacher recommended I get this as my first board (the 164cm model). I’m 6’3” and 225 pounds. What do you think?

Andrew, I’m same height and weight. the 164.5 is perfect for me. best board i’ve ever ridden. I’ve owned a NS legacy, K2 slayblade, libtech skunkape and this board hands down kicks ass!
If u have a big boot you’ll wanna stick with a wide board and luckily the 164 has a decent waist width. for reference i wear salomon F24 boots in 12.5 and it’s just perfect.

Iv been looking at the 157 t-rice c2btx for awhile now. iv done my “homework” on this board. I really love the way that this board is sounding. I’m really close to buying it. I’m an intermediate rider, I like to ride all mountain, ride the side trails, do side jumps, shred the pow/go in back country and roll through the park. I’m 5’10 and 150ibs, and size 11 boots. I ride a 153 right now, but i hate it, its to small and sketchy at high speeds. Im looking at getting the 157 t-rice. I feel like the 161.5 is a bit much for me, and the 153 to short…. Since i don’t like my 153 now. Im just worried about size, cuz iv read that these ride bigger than they are. is this true? what should i go with!?!? please help me out.Im really looking to greatly progress next season. Im thinkin this would be the board to help me do so.

I don’t think they ride bigger. If you hate your 153 then get the 157. For what you’re doing, should be a good size. I’m 5’5” 150lbs ride the 153, still find it stable at high speeds.

I think people mean that you can size down because the reverse camber menas it floats well for a short board. I’m with Rico I don’t think they ride big, it rides like a 157 and at 150lbs and 5’10” tall you are dialed for a 157 as your all-mountain length. So many people are obsessed with riding short boards… cool if you wan to ride small park and jibs but if you want to develop your freeriding and charging then riding the right length is key. Go for the 157 it’s the right length.

I’m about the same weight as you but since I’m short and thus narrower stance (21 inches) I like a board thats around 153-155 for all mountain. With boards that’s 156-158 (which is my freeride/pow size), I feel like there’s too much nose and tail, feels weird.
Also to add, the after about 15-20 days the flex has broken in so it’s around a medium stiff now (maybe around a 6.5-7/10) from a stiff flex.

Hi there,
Looking at the board, but also questioning size. Am going back to boarding after a decade!
I am around 5’8 and 165 pounds. Thinking the 157. Mostly be using it for all mountain. Any advice would be appreciated.
