Nitro Swindle - 2010

Swindle reviewed by the Snowboard Review team.

Summary:

The Nitro Swindle was designed for killing it on rails, with soft biaxial glass, Railkiller edges and the awsome Scratch & Rip Extruded base (shows your boards scars), the spec is certainly geared that way. However taking the Swindle out on the slopes, it appears to offer a little bit more.

Manufacturer's Description:

The Swindle is doing what was not possible in the past for board construction and price. This board is ultra durable yet lightweight and soft for a rider that sees more stairs and rails than lift lines in the season. It has a long running length so you can size down and stay in control. With it’s low camber and true twin shape it is easy to manipulate at slow speeds for very technical riding. It also features our exclusive scratch & rip base that gouges and wears through like a skate deck showing all your scars from a season of shredding.

Review of Nitro Swindle:

Now in it’s second year in the Nitro line-up, the Swindle is getting ever more popular. Designed as a true twin tip rail and street jib board, the Swindle has 200% thick edges for extra strength and softer biaxial glass, however, I reckon it’s actually an awesome all-rounder! The designers at Nitro have taken the Swindle back to the drawing board and made it that little bit stiffer, a lot firmer than I expected, which to my surprise makes it ideal for kickers and all mountain piste shredding. The real bonus with the swindle is that the low price point makes it a great choice for any riders on a budget. From beginner to experienced seasonaire the Swindle is forgiving enough to help those riders with their first steps, but stiff enough to take more advanced riders above and beyond, especially on those tech street rail sessions.
